How to play Splatoon Raiders
Splatoon Raiders is a single-player-focused action-shooter where you explore, fight Salmonids, and grow your arsenal on the Spirhalite Islands.
Splatoon Raiders by Nintendo puts you in the role of the Mechanic, working with Deep Cut — Shiver, Frye, and Big Man — from the Hideout Ship base.
The core Splatoon Raiders loop is simple: head out onto the Spirhalite Islands, defeat Salmonids for the weapons they drop, and return to upgrade your tank at the Mechanic’s Shack.
You can play Splatoon Raiders solo, or invite up to 3 other players for 2–4 player co-op online or over local wireless, including via Call for Help.
The core loop
- 1️⃣ Choose a tank and gadgets — Pick a Speed, Power, or Tactical tank in Splatoon Raiders. Each tank starts with two gadgets; a third gadget slot unlocks through use and upgrades.
- 2️⃣ Explore the Spirhalite Islands — Set out from the Hideout Ship with your Bot Buddy to explore Splatoon Raiders and find treasure, weapons, and secrets.
- 3️⃣ Fight Salmonids — Salmonids drop weapons. Lesser types are common, Boss types can drop a Mega Power Egg, and more seasoned (saltier) Salmonids hit harder.
- 4️⃣ Customize gadgets — Use gadget parts in Splatoon Raiders to tune damage, fire rate, duration, ink explosions, and knockback gas at Shiver’s Gadget Workshop.
- 5️⃣ Upgrade and repeat — Bring salvage to the Mechanic’s Shack to raise tank HP and attack. You keep weapons and salvage even if defeated.
